1996 Intrigue 10269

I am experiencing a problem with my Power Tech diesel generator on my CC.... The diesel motor is running fine, but no voltage output. I have checked with voltmeter and no voltage coming from the generator. I have checked the circuit breakers, and the two fuses and all appear to be OK... If anyone out there has experienced this problem, please let me know what your solution ended up being, or what else can I check.

Both the generator and shore power go through a power switch and also sometimes a surge protector. Some coaches are wired with the surge protector either before or after the power switch. Do you have voltage at the input side of either these? If you do, then that device has a problem in switching in line to provide AC power to the coach.

I just went through this and found the power switch bad in my coach. Once replaced, everything works just fine.

Also, check the fuse at the inverter. If that has popped out for some reason then there will be no power at the outlets. Also check the GFI in the rear bedroom for the same reason. rvmike 2000 Allure 30493

Hey Jeff just got back from New Orleans and the CCI rally and read your email. Your problem is common to the PTS gen the brushes get dirtty and need cleaning You have to remove the inspection plate at the air inlet and remove 2 screws and the brush holder is then able to be removed
the brushes get dirtty and do not stay on the com part of the charger if you are not handy at this then have a service person do it mine has failed many times most of the time it was because of dust we dry camp alot
