Inspire ignition will not switch off

Sometimes when ignition key is turned to off, the cat dies and the dash idiot lights come on dimly. Turning key again may cure problem for a while. Usually a restart will allow all to go off. McGaugh RV fixed the problem last fall. Tonight it happens again.
What is cause?
