Air Suspension Jiggles...

Yahoo Message Number: 29933
While parked at a park for a while, the coach starts to wiggle as someone moves inside the coach. The HWH system shows the coach is level and has not re-levelled the coach since we setup here, over a week ago.
How do I "stiffen" the air suspension so the coach doesn't jibble/wiggle from movement (human or canine) inside the coach?

Thanks.
David

Try doing a full dump of the air before levelling -- if you were "close" to level when started then it won't need to air up much and I woudl expect would not feel as much movement.

Hi David, Dumping before levelling will probably help a lot although I doubt it will completely eliminate the wiggles.
To the best of my knowledge the basic layout of the air suspension system on Allure/Intrigue coaches has not changed much in the last few years. Originally the system would have to cope with no slide or single slide coaches with the bed in the fore/aft configuration. Since then CC has added a lot of slides and placed beds ninety degrees to the direction of the coach.
Thinking back to those far away years when we went to school you may remember the engineering equations related to levers, fulcrums and weights. By extending the width of the coach CC completely changed the dynamices of the levelling system when weight is transferred from one point to another. Simply said, someone turning over in a bed placed fore/aft may not disturb the system but the same person rolling over in a bed that has the headboard in a slide will cause the wiggles you describe. Same thing happens when moving around the living room.
I believe the Magna and Affinity models have more air bags so may be less succeptible to the problem.
Maybe CC will re think the design at some point but if they do it will certainly add cost!

Hope this helps, David, Allure 31383

If you check your air pressure guage in addition to the leveling proceedure and keep the presure above 100 lbs it seems to help. It has always been one of my pet peaves. I understand you can get two additional rams on Magnas and Affinities to stop the side to side motion while parked. Thats next on are upgrading of our coach, if possible.
