broken door handle

the inner handle will not open the front door. The outer handle works fine, and the locks work incl. the remote. I heard something small fall inside the door when it happened. Any suggestions or do i need to order a new lock assy.?

You might not need a new lock assembly. Pull your panel and see if a pin or something vibrated loose. It could be an easy fix. That panel can be tricky to remove. You might need one of those clip spreaders, kind of like you use on an auto application.
