What is indoor storage worth

Yahoo Message Number: 2210
Live in California (Sacramento area).

How much extra cost (per month) can one justify for indoor storage? Less waxing, less sun, no freezing (just a little in this area of CA), and it is nice on the For Sale .
Is it worth $80/month extra or $10,000 over 10 years? Will I get 4- 5K more if sold in 5 years, or $8-10K more on depreciated price if coach is sold in 10 years.

How about $50 extra or $125 extra?

We live in Florida and inside storage for a 40" CC Allure is $400 more per month. I can have someone else wash and wax my unit monthly for $200 and still come out ahead. The real cost is if you ignore the scheduled maintenance and care altogether.

I stored by Magna inside in Sarasota Fl. and they charged $6.00 per foot.. so it was 217.00 month for the 36' Magna. And that's with the coach plugged in to keep battery chargers on.

The spot I am looking at is in Roseville, CA. For 36-40 feet they want $180/month, vs $100/month for their outdoor storage. I have it stored at another place for $75/month (outside). The indoor storage includes washing it every time I would bring it back, and dress tires. Warehouse will hold 350 RVs in 15' wide slots, has 3000 fire sprinkler heads. They won't have to move an RV to get to another RV. But they will have the keys. :-( Billed as California only indoor storage EXCLUSIVELY for RV & Boats.

Herb, if you can afford it, I think 180 a month is well worth it...especially where it includes washing. As I said the place I used charged 217 mo for 36' and $100 to do a thorough cleanup so it sounds like your deal is a bargain. A RV can sustain a lot of damage sitting in the sun..both inside and out. When I built my place in Maine, the first thing I did was design a 44' garage with 16' ceilings. I have complete hookups inside so I can dump, clean and keep the coach charged. And it could even double as a guest house if necessary.

herb, I have a 99 magna 5611 and for the first year I had to keep it outside.
After I built the garage for the coach the effort to keep it looking new decreased tremendously. After it is washed and put into the garage, it can stay there a month or two months and it looks as good when it comes out as when it was parked. Plus the added benefit that I can wash and wax the coach on different days and then do it in the shade. The tires have very little damage from ultraviolet as well. How do you cost justfy a coach as expensive as a country coach, I really don't think you can. Once you get past the initial cost of the coach, the effort required to keep it looking new is a given, keeping it garaged just makes that effort a lot easier. I built a 28 by 46 garage on my property and my only regret is not being able to build it a little deeper .

If I could find storage for that, I would jump on it.
