I bought diesel for $4.02 and $.03 discount with Safeway card at Junction City Safeway at North end of town.
Kid doing the pumping felt sorry for me (high bucks to fill) he gave me the $.10 discount.

We just filled up in Pahrump, NV @ 4.11.
When we we drove through Baker it was $4.24; Barstow @ the J was $4.19.

:-( no one felt sorry for us.

All your prices are good. It's as high as 4.50 in parts of Southern California. I just paid 4.49 to fill the tractor. No body felt sorry for me either.....

I'm an Australian.

And my heart breaks for all of you with $4.00 diesel. :) With allowance for the current exchange rate we are paying $6.22 a US gallon.

We have big miles to cover just like you folk. I drive an Intrigue in the USA and a bus conversion here in Australia. I average 7.2 mpg in my bus conversion. Approx 10mpg in the Intrigue. Guess which one i prefer to drive.

My guess is that there is more to come. Just slow down and do less miles per week.

Hi Bruce, How do you guys down under dispense fuel, by the Imperial gallon, American gallon or litres?

Hi David,

Australia has had the metric system for many many years. So every thing is in litres and kilometres. When we travel in the USA we find that 30 miles is a long way when compared to 30 kilometres.
Even though we have our own oil our prices are tied in with the world parity prices. So as you guys pay more so do we.
