Albany Rally and generator use

Yahoo Message Number: 40456
We are attending our first dry camping rally in Albany. We've dry camped a lot so no concerns there, but we do wonder about "generator protocol". In the desert we run it as needed but never after 9 pm or before 9 am. What do people do at the rallies? We don't have auto start so I need to pre-plan the run times. If it is really hot do people run theirs all day?

Thanks for the advice.

Jim,

That protocol will be in your registration packet, but, usually, they ask that generators don't run until 6:30 a.m. (you'll hear them coming on much sooner, though :-) I think 10 p.m. is the usual cut-off time.

I will be chairing the parking committee and the policy on generator usage is as needed during the day but not between 10pm and 7am. The request is to not run more than necessary in consideration of your neighbors and if you have some special need such as medical equipment or an all electric coach we will try to park you where you will be less likely to create problems with more use. Hope this responds to this question but let me know if not.
