03 Allure Taillight Assembly

Yahoo Message Number: 42109
Does anyone on the forum know where the taillight assembly for a 2003 Allure 1rst Ave. came from. I have been searching the database and have found information on the headlight assembly(same as Ford Explorer)but nothing in the data base on the tail lights. I need to replace one and would like to convert to LED if I can.

Thanks in advance.

Mark

Check the lens for a name. If it is a Bergman lens then go to their web site. My tail lights are Bergman.

Mark,

I have talked with the Manufacture of our Tail Light Assembly, but am on the road and believe I have the phone number and name at my home.

I remember they are in Georgia and the light assembly is called there "HOBBY" model. You can only buy it from them, its not in the "after market" business.

I won't be home till Sunday, I get back to you.

Hi Mike - thanks for the note and I would appreciate any information you can supply. The lense says "Hella - Finland" on it so I went out to their web site but no success in locating our model of lights.
Did a google on Hella and only thing coming up is for VW, Volvo cars, with some BMW assemblies coming up as well. Very difficult to find anything on our assembly. If you can locate your information and would share that with me I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance

For all who may be interested in the 03 Allure tail light assembly - (thanks to Mike for the help sending me in the right direction) I called Hella and was given the following information:

Tail light assembly is only sold through distributors as a total assembly, you cannot purchase just the lense. Right and left assembly are the same and interchangeable.

Tail light Series is Caraluna 1 - 7502 - (not same as Hobby series) Hella Part Number is 2VP-007502-217 or stocking number - 007502-217 No LED cross over made yet

US Distributor: The S Sterling Company of Peachtree, GA Phone: 770-632-8755

I ordered a unit and will advise when I receive it.

Thanks to all who offered assistance.

Parts arrived today and all is as was expected when ordered. Good folks to work with, parts nicely packaged, shipping cost was $9.00 from GA to WA state and cost of assembly was $35. Very pleased with product and transaction. Thanks to all who gave input and assistance.
