PCH North to South between Santa Cruz and Pismo Beach

We've got Rally in Fenton, CA, north of Santa Cruz, and were then going to go to another rally around Pismo Beach. So, I was thinking about going along the PCH for a scenic drive. A couple of questions:

How hair-raising of a drive would that be for the passenger in the right seat? (She normally has her seat reclined and eyes closed about five minutes into any drive, but she's faked me out before.)

Can that drive be done relatively easily in one day? If not, where would you recommend stopping for the night? Thanks!

Been there and done that drive in my 40 foot 99 Allure with tow car-! In a 36 footer it's as easy as in a 40 footer. Go for it. I wouldn't do it during heavy traffic as the views are over the top wonderful.
There are many places to pull over and over look the ocean view (do it).
