Blowing fluorescent lights

Yahoo Message Number: 46949
I have had to replace almost every 18" fluorescent bulb in my coach, some of the locations more than once.

Any ideas about what may be causing this?

Thanks for any help/advice.

Ken;

It might be low DC starting voltage but I am not a expert. You might get help from a tech. at Thin-Lite Corporation (telephone number 805-987-5021) They might not be so inclined but it might be worth a try.

I had a similar experience and attributed it to having the lights on when I started the engine. Alternator puts out about 14.4v, maybe too much for the lights. Since I made sure all my fluoro lights were off before starting the engine, I haven't had any more problems.
