Calif. Vehicle License Fees

Hi:

In case everyone hasn't heard the Calif. Assembly passed a bill yesterday that will increase your Calif. license fees triple. This is for all motor vehicles over $5,000 value.

The senate has yet to vote on this and it has been stated that they have more than enough votes to also pass it. Davis says that he is reluctant to sign it but probably will due to the pressure he is getting from the Police and Fire Leagues. They are crying that they will lose some jobs.

Hopefully everyone from Calif. will write or phone their state senator and Davis with your concerns.

This will probably not go into effect for several months. Our fee are going to increase from $2,047 to $6,141 motorhome only not including the 3 cars. Needless to say, when this is signed into law, we will immediately become x-Californians.

Thankfully we in Oregon have been spared this, but don't kid yourself, they "get us" in other taxes. Good luck to all you Californians in this. I really mean it!
