I was very surprised to see a posting on the board that I DID NOT post. I did not open it as I was suspicious! Larry stated it contained a virus

Steve,

Are you running a virus checker with good current update files? You "may" have a virus on board your PC without being aware of it.
Especially true if you are using outlook or outlook express as your email sever.

Regards,
Dan

I'm running the latest McAfee program & just ran virus check & have none. Please note how the post on the board looks compared to my post. Similiar but not the same. Someone did this using my e-mail address.

That is how some of these virus programs work. Your address was taken from someone you probably know who has your address on their computer. The virus reads their address book and sends emails using folks from your friends address book. He/she may not even know an email has been sent from their computer. You get the blame, however, you can right click on the emails and click on properties and follow the line back to whos computer actually sent the email.

This is the modus of the KLEZ virus which has been bugging PCs for over a year now.

It acts by pirating email addresses unbeknown to the "sender" ...... Don #30580

Looks like you've been hacked. Change your password immediately. This happened to me some time ago. Good luck.
