ygrps-yiv-1015419448 v0003a* { } As reported in the news, we have been deluged with heavy rain here in Arizona. We just bought our '06 Inspire 360 in October and this is our first experience with heavy rain. We have had a lot of water leakage coming in around the slides in the living room area on both sides. Not sure how to fix it. Will we need to bring in the slides each time it rains? Any suggestions out there? Thanks for your help!

Sue -

Not sure where you are in Arizona but I would suggest you call Chris Snyder - 520 665-1014 and I am sure he could help you out. He is located down in Tucson but does come to Phoenix.

Enjoy your coach - sunny days and rainy ones.

Sue, there were some posts on this blog some months ago which talked about some plastic pieces which angle the water out on the corners of the slides and needed to be properly situated to work better, so calling the fellow who is able to help technically is a great idea. Sounds like you have the problem solved temporarily by pulling the slides in during heavy rain. We haven't had any water leakage so far on the slides, and this summer Mike is taking the coach to our wonderful RV fixer guy in Owatonna, MN, (business called Owatonna RV 507-451-4479 in case anyone is very nearby and needs help) to redo all of the caulking on the roof everywhere as our coach will be 4.5 years old then. Hi Sue

We have an 04 Inspire and we've been there and done that with the slides leaking. My suggestion is to make sure the outer seals on the slides are facing out, sometimes when extending and retracting the slides the seals get lazy and dont flip/flop, if the seals are facing inwards, you can hook them on the bottom with your awning rod and carefully move up the seal insuring the seals are resting on the slide out and not folded inside.,That was my problem and it worked for me, because we are on the Oregon Coast and raining like mad outside, nice and dry inside.hope it works I have a few more suggestions if you want to give us a call at 541 332 0651

Sue,

Can you tell us where the water is coming in? Is it from the top or is it at the bottom. If it near the bottom it could be from angle iron strips on the bottom of the slides. I have had to reseal all three of my slides due to leaks from the strips. The bedroom slide was the worst.

The Yahoo group message search feature has been broken for several months. Messages posted since approximately March 2009 are not returned in the search results.
I have notified Yahoo Group administrators that our group - among many others - is having this problem.
Until Yahoo fixes this problem, I don't know of any way to search the archives for messages posted since March 2009. Perhaps someone has privately archived our group messages and could post their collection in the group files area? --

Hi Sue

The seals might need to be replaced and the drainage system check.
