upgrade to a residential fridge?

Our Norcold 1200LRIM (4 dr w/icemaker) just died -- amonia leak.
Rather than having the cooling unit replaced we are considering an upgrade to a residential fridge and was wondering if anyone has done this and who they had do the work and how much it cost.
I'm assuming that since we have a 200W MSW inverter we would probably need to upgrade that to a 3000W PSW type.

Any suggestions, etc. would be appreciated.
FYI -- while we are in Southern Nevada, we are willing to travel to Arizona, California or Oregon to have this done right.

Some of the CCs I've seen with a residential fridge had a separate/dedicated inverter and batteries solely for the fridge.

Upgrading to a residential fridge is not for anyone that dry camps unless you are set up for the large extra AC loads.

THe electrical considerations are fairly simple compared, I would think, to the cabinet work involved.

Hi Larry,

Not all residential refers will work. You need to have one that works with inverters or it will burn up boards in the refer. normally there is a circuit for just the refer in all electric coaches. They usually have one inverter just for that circuit. You will need to buy a refer made just for the recreational application.

I think you are going to find conversion to be much more difficult then you can imagine. First, you are going to have to remove the front windshield to get it in the coach. Others have alluded to the wiring and inverter changes and the cabinetry changes also. CC units with residential refrigerators have different floor plans to accommodate the differences in size and weight distribution. You might want to re-think your idea. Good luck.
