No water

I went to fill up my water tank today, heading out tomorrow. No water would go into the tank when I put the lever in the "fill" position. Then I noticed that I had no pressure inside the coach in the other position. It is like the line is totally stopped up! I used the manual fill tube to put water in the tank, and the pump gives me pressure. But I can't do anything with the pressure in line. Any ideas? I removed the water filter, BTW, no change.

I had the same symptoms once and I found a dead lizard blocking the inlet hose connection to the coach. I rinsed everything out real good and didn't tell the wife. I now make sure I have the cap on after disconnecting.

There is a check valve going to the tank. It is there to permit you to pressurize your water system. I suspect it is frozen in the closed position, thus not permitting water to enter. I recently had to replace mine - cost about $6. Can get at any Lowe's or Home Depot. In a pinch, you can fill your tank with the hose going into your fill spout and use your water pump. (I did that for a weekend. It does work, but it is a pain.)

I want to thank everyone that had suggestions on my no water problem. It turned out to be, as Martin suggested, a frozen shut check valve. Thank goodness, no dead lizard! My wife would have made me sell the coach if that had been it!
