Deep Cycle House Batteries?

Yahoo Message Number: 62564
I know it's about time to swap out my coach batts and engine batt B4 they put me in a bad mood on the road. Is there a better way to go than the wet cell type that eventually puts corrosion on everything in the vicinity? I just installed a deep cycle gell cell in my Corvette - well over $200 bucks - hate to think what replacing all my coach and engine batts are going to cost!!!

2 questions I would appreciate your experience and advice on: * Gell cell, wet cell, what?

* Where does a poor boy get the best price?

I use Lifline AGM 6 Volt golf cart batteries for the house and Optima 12 Volt AGM for starting.
You are right $200 each is a very good price. It is about 2.5 times the price of wet cell, but less corrosion and filling or even checking the water level in the batteries.

This is a classic Ford Chevy argument .. wet or AGM 6 or 12 Volt.
There is no right answer, only what works best for you.
