03 intrigue cum 400 no power steering!

Hello,

We lost our power steering on I 84 Hermiston OR. Sitting at Freightliner they have removed the hydraulic pump or pto or whatever it is called. They seem to be having trouble finding a replacement (interior gears stripped). This pump bolts to side of engine ISL400 and powers fan and steering. Cummins tells me it is not there part an aftermarket put on by CC.

Anybody else have to replace this part and where did u find it?

This may not be the dreaded PTO failure as we know it.
Jerry reports that the PTO is on his ISL. His coach is a 2003. My 2004 Allure ISL has the Hydraulic pump driven from a PTO on the passenger side of the engine. Jerry's is likely to have the same arrangement.
If this is the case it is something that I have never seen on this board or anywhere else.

Thanks guys for the help, when we left freightliner we were told by many in the RV business it would be 6 to 9 weeks to get a new pump. I then posted my note and two guys responded, the info at John Davis RV in LaPine really saved the day for us. We had a pump shipped the same day and installed very shortly afterwards. Picked up our coach Thurs and ran great! Just wanted thank the two gentlemen who responded and saved our bacon on this issue. This has been a very valuable online source for us.
