Link 2000R Battery Shunt Locations

I've purchased a Link 2000R to add to my 1998 Magna (which offered this battery monitor as an option) and would like to install the components in factory locations (more or less) if possible.
In particular, does anyone know where the battery shunts were positioned in Country Coach installations? I'm guessing that the 2000 itself would have been placed above the entry door but am interested in confirmation of that as well.
As far as the regulator portion of the installation (the "R" in 2000R), it doesn't look like that was offered, so I'm curious if anyone has done a smart regulator upgrade on a coach with a Detroit Diesel 40E with the standard alternator...

Our rigs may be similar. I do not know what the Factory installation was.
My rig was built with a battery monitor readout in the overhead dash panel and the inverter control switch on the galley cabinetry.

But I did install the Link 2000 about three years ago.
I mounted the monitor panel in the hallway wall of the bedroom closet (no bedroom slide).
That location made the wire run from the batteries and the shunt manageable. It also was reasonably close to my inverter switch and its lead wire location on the galley cabinet. Also, the monitor is at eye level.
I mounted the shunt on the battery compartment wall just behind the right rear wheels.

I do not have the 2000R.

Just another approach.

Hi Friend, I installed a similar meter on our coach. In the Inverter Bay above the Batterys there in a Wing nut acess door, Remove door and our fuse is just to the left of the inverter. The meter shunt though I put on the Battery negitave terminal as I have done this on several other Motorhomes. I think putting it on the Fuse Holder via Buss Bar is a good Idea as the shunt wont get acid and road dust. Thanks for sharing.
