Inspire Rocker Switches

Yahoo Message Number: 66938
I want to change out the rocker switch panels at the entry and at the electrical panel midcoach. Have any Inspire owners done it? Does anyone know who to contact to replace these? The rocker switches that came with my 04' are pretty cheap.

CC used heavy gauge wiring (10 for most 12V circuits), very stiff and hard to work with. I am also a firm believer in if it ain't broke....
If you want to tackle changing out those panels there are several sources. I have used Waytek with good success. They have anything you should want/need but have minimum quantity requirements as they are a supplier to manufacturers.
If you can talk them out of a catalog it will be a gold mine to decide what you want to change to and then find another source if they won't sell the small amount you will probably need. That said, they have sent me small numbers of items several times, nice folks.

I am sure there are other sources as well.
Auto Zone, etc usually carry junk - much cheaper than the CC factory switches. Been there,...
I haven't had a switch fail in our 42k+ miles Inspire yet - the same switches are in the Waytek catalog so appear to be industry standard. I am not saying there aren't better switches available, there most certainly are, but the ones supplied seem good enough.

Steve:

II just spent a few minues on the Waytek website. Most everything in the catalog is viewable there but harder. It also appears they have decided small quantity sales are worthwhile after all and there is a link to order a catalog.
I am not trying to push this one company, just that I have used them and they have tons of stuff applicable to our rigs including the large battery system fuse blocks, cut-off switches, wire of any size including battery/welding cable, lights including LEDs and some fixtures, a real candy store for electrical supplies.

Have fun.

Bob,

Thanks for the responses. My problem is with the rocker switches at the entry door only. The rocker piece keeps falling out or will not flip the switch. As a result I leave that piece off and push the switch directly. I think it's time, after 6 years and 1 change out, to go to a different design if possible. Happy New Year!
