settings and terms on auto generator functions

After a little over a year of ownership of my 2002 Affinity if have finally tried to organize the auto settings on the silverleaf computer that controls the auto generator functions. I need some help on what a couple of them are. I figured out the setting for volts that kicks the generator on. I have set mine at 11.9 and 11.8 volts. Not sure which I like better. But it works fine. Also figured out the settings for time when the gen does not go on. Here are the terms I don't understand.

1. Top off volts. I was told to set at 12 volts. I don't know what it is?
2. Temperature setting?

3. Can I leave the air conditioners on (when it gets warmer) from the thermostat and will the gen kick on automatically?

Thank you in advance for any help. BTW we just got back from Quartzite yesterday. It was really great weather out there and millions of stuff to buy. We left the day the RV show was openning as we don't need a new RV and are very happy with the one we have. Weather was basically perfect out there for this time of year.
