Satellite TV Systems

We have been using "DishNet" since going on the road F/T five years ago. We get the 100 Channel package with East/West Coast Networks. DishNet auto-bills us at our Livingston, TX address (Escapee's) and we haven't experienced any of the loss of service problems DIRECTV users seem to be having. DishNet appears to understand what "living on the road" means.
Now if they would only come up with an "inexpensive" means of doing E-mail from our coach.

Are you using the Dish 500 system with oval dish that picks up two sats at same time? Or, the round dish that only receives one sat at a time?

I have heard of many folks having problems with DIRECTV, but we've been using it for several years with no access problems other than PBS and local home stations. We get east and west coast network feeds and all other programming with no problem.

In response to Jim's Question:

About 3 years ago, I changed from an 18" dish with a dual LNB (one acted as a spare since I did not have the Dish 500 system) to a 24" oval dish. I travel up into Canada most summers and the 24" oval dish gave me higher signal gain. With the 24" dish, I am able to get about a 75% signal where with the 18" dish I was bearly getting a 45% signal. Last summer in Alaska, I was able to get the signal, but it was not strong enough to lock. The local Dish dealer told me I would have to go to a 36" dish to pick it up. My 24" dish only has a single LNB. It is tripod mounted but I still have some problems with trees but if I can find a hole, I lock on at about 80-90% through out the US. By the Way, I got the 24" dish at a flea market near Tampa at a very reasonable price.
