Bedroom engin access on 2004 allure

i want to check my fuel lines for cracking but my latch looks like it runs under the bed frame has anyone done this on an 04 allure any tips

My o4 Intrigue (40ft.)might be like your 04 Allure if you are 40 ft. On the step up to the closet there is a panel that spans the distance between the next step up to the closet and the bed frame. It butts up against the bed frame. It is held down with velcro to a second panel that has four bolts. Remove the bolts for access to the engine. The carpeted panel may be hard to see the edges but try to pry it up. Hope this helps.

Hi Mike,

I went through the exercise a year ago. Unfortunately my coach is not as Lyle describes and I sure wish it was.
I found that there are a number of different ways that CC installed the hatch both year, model and layout dependant. Let me ask you a few quick questions to see if yours is the same as mine. You have already verified that the hatch runs under the bed frame. Would you estimate that about a quarter of it or so is under the bed? When you walk into the bedroom did you have a raised step about halfway across the vanity? Then does this raised portion extend around the back of the bed but the rear closet floor is raised up another 8 inches above that? Is there a cut line in the rug for the hatch that runs across the floor beside the bed to the closet door? Is there another cut line that extends roughly from the left side of the closet straight forward toward the front of the coach to a couple of inches short of the first rise in the floor and then makes a right turn and disappears under the bed? If you open the engine hatch does the engine set back 30 some plus inches from the back of the coach?
If the answers are all yes then get back to me and I can tell you what you have to do and I'm betting you aren't going to like what you hear. Sorry but they out did themselves complicating it my with my coach.

Mike, my coach is the same as yours.
The hatch does indeed extend under the bed. First so that can see what I am talking about lift up the rear of the mattress and the flat piece that it sets on to expose what is under it. I cut myself about a 3 ft length of 2 x 4 to slip in to hold it up out of the way as it is a bit heavy to hold there very long. If you proceed you will need it anyway.
Once up out of the way you can see the wooden frame that the bed sets on. On top of that and resting on the frame is the slide out frame. The slide out frame is held in place by the pedestal that holds up the slide out motor. Basically here is what you have to do.
Disassemble the wooden frame and remove it out of the way. I am 1800 miles away from my coach until Thursday so I am going by memory right now. So I can't recall exactly where all of the screws are. I remember the frame pieces are screwed to the floor but I can't remember if the slideout frame is physically attached to it. It is pretty easy to see what has to be undone to get the bed frame apart and out of the way.
The slideout frame is held down by the bolts in the floor at the bottom of the pedestal it sits on. You will have release the pedestal from the floor to be able to raise the frame the 2 or 3 inches that it takes to wiggle the hatch cover up and out. I serious word of caution. That pedestal is all that holds the slide in the coach so make sure that the coach is not low on that side as the whole slide can drop out of the coach onto the ground. Not a pretty sight.
On my coach the hatch cover is not bolted down and is held in place by the weight of the slide frame and bed that is screwed to the floor.
If I have confused you with all of this please let me know and I will try to clarify it for you.
