42" Plasma TV will not deploy

Hi group, I have a problem with my tv in 2003 Magna. The power switch to lower it only clicks rapidly the same way it does at the end of full travel in either direction. If anyone knows how to manually override the system or troubleshoot it I would appreciate your help.
