Cummine C-8.3 Exhaust Manifold and Belt Tensioner

Fellow C-8.3 Cummins owners, Took the Coach to Yuma Diesel for Manifold replacment. Here are the numbers, 3.8 hours at 78$per hour. 323.00, Parts both manifolds and turbo gasket $264.00,125.00 and 2.88 for turbo gasket. They also charged 20$ next day frieght, Total and tax, 844.80. They connected laptop and found no codes and all sensors and injectors are OK. I ask them about the new belt tensioner I installed and they said install a new belt now. also higher Idle bouncing gets less. I as a retired Cat Service tech found they left the coach clean inside and out. Used anti sieze on exhaust studs/bolts. Also new gaskets used. Im very happy with them but had to return a socket they left on the floor. Working at Cat this would have been more money as their labor is higher in Miami and Tampa. The coach has 72k miles. A fellow owner said he also had the flaw crack in the same place. Ken 99 Allure 30356
