Additonal air line connections

Yahoo Message Number: 69763
Group,

Firstly, greetings from the UK â?" there are also a couple of Sunset Bays over here as well but CC are the exception rather than the rule

Country Coach - 2005 â?" Allure 470 â?" Hood River

I have located the three â??additionalâ?? air outlets on the coach
1 - In the â??electricsâ?? compartment below the driver â?" 2 - driverâ??s side in the propane compartment â?" 3 â?" engine compartment above and to the right of where the tow hitch mounts
Question one â?" in the front driverâ??s side compartment â?" there is a quick release â??femaleâ?? connector â?" can anyone please shed any light on the manufacturer / type / model of connection ? â?" in order that I might source a male nipple in order to adapt to a connection more suited â??for this side of the pondâ??
Question 2 â?" the connections in the propane and engine compartments have â??screw threadsâ?? â?" can any of you engineers advise of the thread used in order that I can obtain screw in fittings to allow â??quick release connections to be used â?" I am finding all sorts of threads on the coach (unfortunately nearly everything over here is metric so that is causing some fun and games trying to source appropriate nuts, bolts etc of the correct threads)
It is better that I explore these things BEFORE we break down â?" rather than have some poor mechanic and his tow truck in the centre of Europe scratching his head about how to connect to my air system to reinflate the suspension and operate the brakes

Thanks in anticipation

Kind regards

Ian S.

(I note people appear to put a number after their signature â?" am guessing this is the coach number â?" please advise and I will add this next time)

Ian...

Air line pipe threads on my magna are 1/2" NPT ...(NPT is the U.S. standard for tapered threads)
Don't know about the Allures, but the "quick release" fitting in my magna's propane bay is so you can connect an outboard propane appliance to the coach propane tank...

Buck,

Thank you for your reply - I will source some 1/2" NPT males and try them into the screw fittings
(I have a quarter turn tap on each of the two air connection points that I have found - one pair of taps / connections in the engine bay, one pair on the driver's side of the propane bay - if I operate any of the taps I dump pressure in the on-board air tanks) - I will try NPT fittings into the srews threads
I have found and use the quick release propane on the other side of the coach
The quick release air connection I am concerned about is in the electrics bay below the driver on the back wall
Research last evening suggests that it might be a 1/4" Tru-flate connection - can anyone please confirm / refute before I pursue such an adaptor

Many thanks
Ian
