Silver Leaf on 2000 Intrigue

Yahoo Message Number: 71163
Has anyone installed the Silver Leaf system on a 2000 Intrigue, I am unable to find a connector under the dash which would allow me to interface with the Silver Leaf connector. I would appreciate it if someone has a photo showing such a connector and the location of the connector on 2000 Intrigue.

Thanks
Ray

I had to use the transmission connector on my coach as CC did not run the engine connector up to the driver area. The tranny plug uses the same data highway and gives you all the same info. I had to cut the silverleaf connector off and hard wire it. Contact Silverleaf for the color code.

I had the PC version installed on a 2000 Magna at a show. They could not find the connector and had to do a cut and splice on it. That took the factory rep about 10 min.

Hi Friend, Our 99 Allure is similar to your Intrigue. I believe there is no Connector under the Dash. Had our coach at Cummins in Yuma and I had to show their tech how to connect his Laptop Adapter to the coach. The recpt. is located in the Rear Passenger side Compartment with fuel filter's along with a recpt. for the Allison Trans. I thought about this also If I ever got a Silverleaf. I would call them and run this by them. They Know. I have friends with newer coach's and use a laptop Comm. module and they have such a Recpt. under the front dash. They all have SOB's Though. Keep us posted. Ken 99 Allure 30356

I don't know if this will help at all but on my Inspire the plug is in the panel under the switches on the drivers side. There are four caps covering the screws that allow you to remove the panel. This gives you access to all of the wiring for those switches.

Hope it helps.

Ray:

I have an Intrigue 2000 serial 11021 and the connector is buried hard up against the firewall. It is sometimes covered with fiberglass.
Have faith it is there.

You can verify this by calling one of those old CC service techs as listed in the CCI web site or as are mentioned here frequently on this site.

Ray,

Mine was under the dash tied up in a bundle of wires. It could be seen from the top with the dash cover removed.

When I installed the VMSpc on my 2000 Allure, I spliced the wires for the JIB box onto the wires going to the diagnostic connector for the transmission. The connector is rectangular and mounted on the top of the half wall forward and left of the steering column. The connector was in the same location on a friend's 1999 Intrigue.
I got a wiring diagram for the connector from Silerleaf to determine which connections to make.

Thanks to everyone who replied and thanks to Kevin Waite who emailed the location to me. I have seen the connector under the shifter panel but I have been unable to find one under the dash, although it seems that an Allison tech did connect to a plug under the dash. I will do a more thorough search there before I use the one under the shifter panel. At any rate I should be able to connect the Silver Leaf. Haven't purchased it yet but wanted to be sure that I wasn't going to have trouble finding the interface connector.

Thanks again to all who responded.
