Refrigerator cooling unit

Here is hoping you can learn from my experience. The lift pump on my Cummins 400 ISL failed (no surprise there) and was kind enough to do it in the driveway instead of on the road. Since Cummins won't sell just the gasket anymore and has changed the design of the pump so that it has to be installed with the fuel manifold, I hired a Cummins mechanic to replace it. The motorhome was in a slight slope with the nose downhill so when I lifted the back and put the nose down to give the mechanic room to work, it put the motorhome on a pretty good angle. What never occurred to me was that the fridge was on (since it was stocked) and ran at that angle for almost 2 days. The result? Crystallized cooling fluid in the cooling unit. The solution? Replace the $1,400 cooling unit with $600 in labor.
