Follow Up Burned up Inverter/Surge Guard Failure.

I have just received a phone call from the Surge Guard company, regarding my claim that the Surge Guard failed a surge from the 50 amp hook up. This resulted in the melt down of our Inverter. We have replaced the inverter with an exact duplicate Zantrex.
Kathy, the rep from Surge Guard that called indicated that their unit may not have caused the surge, because it could have come from a faulty plug in the coach therefore by-passing the Surge Guard. We currently have electricity as we are plugged into 30 amp. Kathy indicated that since we have electricity the Surge Guard is working correctly. Kathy wants me to go to an RV company, remove the unit, and mail to them to determine what happen. If I did this I then would definitely be without protection. Katy is sending me a form to fill out before we can go any farther. I will post the questionnaire to all of you.
