Gray water mystery solved?

Yahoo Message Number: 72311
Many thanks to all of you who contributed to my on going problem of my smelly coach. It is also apparent that there are many of us in the same situation. From the various inputs and my own observations I have come to several conclusions.

It is vital to empty the gray water tank as often as possible. One suggestion is that it is possible my vent pipe is extending into the tank. I don't know how easy it is to access this pipe and even determine if it is indeed too long and how to rectify it.
This in turn would explain how my "p" traps are getting sucked dry while draining a full gray water tank.

It appears my kitchen sink vacuum valve has failed, so I will continue using the plastic bag cover, until I can replace it. Only thing is I don't know how to get it off. I tried using channel locks on the collar that it appears to be screwed into, however it's very tight and I was concerned that I would damage the pipe. Its still a mystery when the washer vent is dry, why it smells under the sink rather than around the washer. I also like the idea of sealing the washer drain hose to its drain pipe.

making progress here....thanks
