Xtra ride extended warranty scam ?

I have Xtra ride extended warranty and in the last 3 year, I had them pay for the repair the Hydro Hot ( $500 ) Radiator replaced ($8,000), AC repair $600, replaced the front ride height valve and they had approved the repair of a oil leak on the Cummins 400 ISL since it was 3 months out of warranty. I was able to get Cummins to do the repair. I plan on renewing, I 've had great service.

I'm glad it has worked for you. I believe there is a larger underlying issue on mine. I paid the Dealer that I bought the coach from for the warranty. Six months later he still hadn't sent the contract and premium to xtra ride. xtra-ride was treating me like a criminal until I explained to them that the dealer was the one putting the screws to both of us. I sent them a copy of the agreement and they sent me their cards and said they would invoice the dealer. I don't know if they ever got paid but if they didn't it could be the real reason for the denial on the clam.
But congrats on you getting your moneys worth.

The key is to read the fione print in the contract!
I had GoodSam's extended coverage. When I was towed to the shop with an exhaust pipe that had broken off from the turbo and a slide hydrolic line leak (diagnosed by a Buddy Gregg service tech as an Allison transmission problem - thus the tow), GoodSam denied both repairs: exhaust system and hydrolics were both excluded as well as anything caused by them sequentially I.E. like the engine or turbo had they sustained damage. Some of my electrical wiring was damaged, but that was also excluded. What I found most revealing when I closely read the fine print was: virtually everything was excluded when I purchased the policy on a used MH because it had more than 50,000 miles on it and it was manufactured more than 5 years before. So even if I had of discvered a transmission problem, it would not have been covered. I also noticed that you had to keep proof that all service had been done at the "most server operating condition" intervals. I.E. Like shorter oil change intervals because of dusty conditions. I kne then that I would never collect anything, so I quickly cancelled the extended policy. However, I do keep the tow service which has paid for itself.
By the way the Allison Transmission shop in Knoxville - Particularly the transmission shop manager - was great and ccmpetitent. He was the first to correctly identify the source of my problems and offer to fix them even though they were not related to Allison's business. (Up to then I got "we work on catapillar parts" or "we work on non-chassie", etc., but no "full service" attitude until Allison.
