Fallen Soffit

As we were driving down the highway at 60mph, the driver's side soffit in the salon area came crashing down on the dining table. The end toward the rear came down on the dining table while the other end hung on but splintered because of the twisting of the 13 ½ ft. long wood structure.
We had thought the bottom edge of the soffit was black walnut but it turned out that it was some cheap soft wood that split at the point that two small screws, one at each end of the soffit were holding it attached to the vertical support columns. The weight of the soffit is largely supported by three metal tongues that extend out from a solid plate of aluminum that frames the slideout. The problem was that when the soft wood split it allowed the vibration of the road to move the soffit out until the support of the tongues was lost, resulting in the soffit coming down.
We were fortunate that the detail carving on the front of the soffit was undamaged but we need to have the bottom board of the soffit replaced with actual black walnut that will have sufficient strength to hold it in place.
We are currently in Trenton, Maine (between Bangor and Bar Harbor). Does anyone have a suggestion for local service/person to repair this?
