Highway 46 from 99 to Paso Robles

Hi there,

Has anyone taken Highway 46 from 99 to Paso Robles?
I was wondering what kind of drive it was and whether it was worth it and/or if there are other alternatives.
I am coming from Newport Beach and was taking 99 North toward the Bay Area and was thinking at stopping at a friend's home in Paso Robles but wanted to understand what I was getting myself into.

Have done it a number of times.

No problems for us... 40 ft with toad.

Go for it, we did in April. It was just fine. Better than driving on the bumpy highway 5
