Coach AC

Last week started my Coach and the front AC was blowing cold air but it was only coming out of the defrost vents. Beleive I lost my vaccum that controls the damper that directs the air to its various fumction.
Qiestion- is there a separate vaccum pump and does it come off the engine.
Also there is a black looking ball that I believe may be the vaccum pump

thanks for any help- sure is hot in Texas

there is a small vacuum in the service bay under the driver seat if it is not running you probably have a fuse blown CC sometimes put the vacuum pump on a fuse with another circuit sometimes that circuit will be the problem . You could have a line off but if you do the pump will run constantly. The black ball is part of the vacuum system but it is not the pump.

Thanks for the help. Found the vacuum pump on the firewall with easy access when the generator is pull out. No vacuum at pump. pull a vacuum with a hand pump and AC system worked fine. Look up 12 volt vacuum pumps and found the pump on ebay for $65.00. It was a Ford diesel HVAC & 4 WD electric vacuum pump. Installed and works great.
