TV Flat Screen Reliability

I am about to purchase a 32" LED or LCD TV for my motor home. Does anyone have experience about the ability of different brands or models to withstand the vibration and shocks experienced while traveling.

Thanks,

Hi Bob,

We have 2 Sharp Aquos TVs and 1 LG TV, all LCD flat screens. Going on 5 years. Had a problem at home with a Samsung LCD not lasting a year. (the Sharp Aquos replacement for the home TV is now on it's 3rd year).

I have a Vizio 32" in the bedroom and a Smsung 26" in front.
Full timing since May 08 and both are going strong. I like the Vizio better because it will tune more OTA stations than the Smasung.

Bob, I have a 32" Sharp (LCD) (Front) and 26" Sharp (Rear)(LCD), since Feb. 2008. Have driven more than 30,000 mi...everything has been perfect with the TV's.

No input on reliabilty but I would add these comments.
For a 32 inch LCD/LED you will find the price range today is $300 to $400.

At the low end you will find LCD units with 720P and 60 HZ.
At the high end, LED units with 1080P and 120 HZ.
Unless $100 is a deal breaker, this is not the time to be 'cheap'. LED is far superior to LCD provided it is 1080P and 120 HZ.
Below 32 inch, not so much. Larger then 32 inch, absolutely.
We have two LED units (not in the MH). Visitors always comment about the quality of the picture.
Finding the ultimate price/specification is about as difficult as finding the optimum price/schedule/comfort when buying airline tickets!

Good luck with your search.
