Speaking of boost readings, Cat C15

Speaking of boost readings, what are people seeing on the Cat C15 515hp/1650lb-ft (2003 Lexa).
I recently had my charge air cooler replaced due to cracks along one side, and max boost readings went from ~18-19psi to ~22-23psi. I was hoping for a little more, but curious what others are seeing.

Hi Jim,

Mine seems to max out at just over 25 psi, according to my Silverleaf.

Jim/Mike there is a spec sheet on all the Over-The-Road CAT engines, which would include the normal boost range. Assuming CAT has not removed them from their website you can go there to find what you need.

Lee, What is the max boost on yours. I have seen 49 on the Silverleaf. Do you have the link to the web site. I tried just going to Catepillar.com and they just have spec sheets on the engine and torgue.
Also, do you know what the boost pressure indicates when using the exhaust brake. I have seen boost pressure from 0 to 16.5. The steeper the hill the higher the boost pressure.

Mark, I usually top off at 46.5. I'm going on recollection that the mid-40s is normal. I will keep looking.
I recall having a set of engine spec but have not located them yet. I have never thought to look at boost pressure with the exhaust brake on.

C-15 Cat owners, Ken here retired Cat service tech! You have one of the newest and best build Cat diesel over the road engines out there! Its a Tiger wanting to catch its pray!!! Having said this Please Inspect all your Exhaust/Turbo/Muffler piping look for black soot leaks! You have a lot of Heat stored in a little house! The C-15 Is a powerpack! Its really tough on large diesel engines forced into a Motorhome with Air over Air cooling Coolants and Fluid's! I know in the Biz the enduser wants lots of power! Protect your self and inspect!
