Engine Radiator Failures

Recently a friend had to have his 2002 Country Coach towed many miles to a dealer for what ended up to be a total replacement of the engine radiator. Supposedly the CC dealer said this was the 7th CC radiator they had replaced. Does anyone have similar horror stories?

We have a 2000 CC Affinity with 46,000 miles. We also had to have our radiator and transmission cooler replaced in Ft. Myers Fla. We have contacted Country Coach several times and have received no help. Also spoke to radiator manufacture and he claims that Country Coach does not request anti corrosion application on those items.

On my 2000 Intrigue, I had to have the engine radiator removed and repaired at 3 year point with only 32000 miles. Not sure what caused it to leak but maybe it was lack of use, I leave mine parked for several months at a time. This year I am trying to avoid the non-use issue by staying on the road for most of the year. We'll see if that helps. At the moment I have a problem with slideout seals, think I am going to have to have the wiper seals replaced. They have come loose and the slidout trys to take the seals out whenever I move the room out. Currently trying to locate a service center that can get me in on short notice. They all seem to have a long waiting list.

I believe sitting idle throws out the balance on the coolent which may damage the radiator. Our 2001 Magna sat idle for 3 months this year because I had major surgery. We are now at Lazy Days and when I had the coolent checked the balance was way off and I needed a new coolent filter. My old filter had only 3000 miles on it but it was 6 months old and it sat idle for 4 of the 6 months. Don't know if this makes any sence but I would rather buy a used coach with 60k miles then a used coach of the same year with 10 k miles. The more a coach is used the better. Remember, what they say, use it or lose it.
