Intrusion alarm

Yahoo Message Number: 75340
When I got this coach 3 months ago, the alarm system work fine (could not reprogram the door key pad, but not a high priority), close the doors, push the "lock" key bob and the door and bays lock, 3 seconds later the front lights blinked that all was secure or three loud beeps indicating a door or bay was open. Now I get the 3 beeps all the time, after checking each pin switch on the door, bay doors and PS engine compartment door. Are there any other pin switches/compartments I need to check? Is there a way to check where the system is sensing an open door? Thanks for your help!

George, I had the same problem on my 07 Magna. I got three beeps since I picked it up new at the factory. I thought that it indicated all was OK it wasn't until this summer that I found out it indicated the alarm had not set. So, here's what I found out. I did the same thing and checked all the pin switches they all appeared OK.In the electronics bay directly below the drivers seat is where all the tri-mark components are. On the right wall you will see a series of contacts( 10 or 11) with a series of diodes running down the center these diodes seperate the inputs from the pin switches and the output to a relay that controls the trimark. If any of the contacts see gnd the alarm will not set. I checked across each contact and the very last pair at the top of the strip was showing gnd and preventing the alarm from setting. Just so happens that pair was from the engine compartment. I cut the diode tieing that pair together and all worked. I lost the alarm on the engine compartment but gained the rest of the coach.
