Alternator/Xantrex problem

Since we were flying home to Ohio for the holidays we decided to have our windows on our 2004 Inspire resealed at Fountain RV in Lakeland Florida. I called them one day to see how they were doing and found out the coach would not start and that the Alternator and Xantrex were both bad. Has anyone had this problem and are they related. Would one cause the other to go bad. We are not flying back to Florida untill Jan 22.
