Intellitec Switch Panel plays dead!

One of my Intellitec switch panels decided to play dead, (in passage between loo and shower) unplugging it and re-plugging cleared it, perhaps same could be achieved with a break in DC to the whole system sort of rebooting the control board and will try if it happens again? Any similar experience, solutions? Michael Slater

Just drove from Dallas, Tx to Orange, Calif; and I normally gas up at the Flying J's as I travel cross country. I noticed as I traveled that Pilot or Flying J did not have the cheapest diesel prices and the couple I stopped at were pretty trashy. At one of them the RV diesel pumps were not working and they would not honor the RV diesel price at the Truck pumps.
Has Pilot and Flying J really gone downhill or is just me? I don't see any reason to stop at them anymore if diesel price is sole reason.
Example: Stop at the Ehrenberg, Az Flying J off the I-10, which I have stopped at many times. Credit price was $3.95 and the Cash price was $3.89 a gallon. The place is a "dump" and it is not the easiest place to get an RV in or out of the RV diesel fuel lanes. There was a line at the RV fuel lines so I turned around and went 4 miles up the road and stopped at the Texico off Exit 5. Credit price was $3.83 a gallon and cash price was $3.79 a gallon. Plus you can fuel at the truck terminals at the same prices. The place is big, clean and was not busy. On top of the that, I received an extra $.08 a gallon off the diesel price because I was not a commercial truck. I did not realize that and Flying J never offer to take that 8 cents a gallon off before. Hmmm ...
Needless to say, I have had it with them and I will search for other places now.

Since Pilot took over Flying J and Petro has been absorbed, the truck stops are no longer the best deal, only the most convenient. I traveled all over the west last year, and the central and east last year, you can save anywhere from 10 to 25 cents per gallon if you get off the beaten path. Have you tried Love's? They have a mobile app that shows locations prices, and amenities.

When I travel I always use the web to check prices. I check Flying J as well as Shell, Chevron, Texaco and brand X.
Occasionally Flying J is best price. Often by going in to town a mile or two off the highway (often the business route) I can save10 or 20 cents a gallon.
I plan ahead and save enough to pay for dinner.

If you haven't discovered "Gas Buddies" ~ either as an application on your smart phone, or on the web at www.gasbuddies.com, you don't know what you're missing.
It lets you check prices immediately around you, or anywhere on the route your traveling. Also, how recently the prices were reported by drivers just like you.

It's saves us big $$$ and really easy to use.

I second the gas buddy app. You can find all grades of gas and the price of diesel. You can also upgrade the prices, if when you go to the station, you find out the prices have changed

Best of all, it's free.

Another great app for your Android based smart phone or tablet is one called Truck Stops. It is location driven from the GPS and lists all the truck stops within a radius of your current location, the exit number and distance away. It will also list Rest Stops, Wal-Mart's etc as an additional options.
It is best used by a copilot for safety reasons but it continuously updates as you travel along. One tip though, it lists the stops in order of their distance from your current location and therefore you will have gone by some of them. So be aware of which way the exit numbers on your side of the highway are running. It also lists the amenities at each stop but does not list current fuel prices. However I have found myself in a situation where I didn't care what the cost as long as I could find the closest stop that truckers feel is big rig accessible.
I also have Gas Buddy for fuel pricing. Truck Stops is currently $1.99 as shown in the Google Market app. There are a number of other apps but I have not looked at them so far.

I use gasbuddy.com or even better is the gas buddy app for your smartphone. Using the smartphone app allows you to get a map view of fuel prices based on your current location and you can scroll along your route to see prices down the road.
