Window lube????

I've searched the old posts, however I've been unable to find the post which recommended something to put on the window slides to make them less tough to slide. Most of my windows are fine but I have a couple which are very tough to open/close. thanks in advance, Roger Harper

I have been using Lemon Pledge for many years with good results. Vacuum the tracks all around including the screen track. Then, just shake the can, spray it sparingly and wipe off the excess. It is wax based and will not gunk up the pile and vinyl weather strip seals.
I always recommended this to my clients when I sold windows in my past career. Never had a complaint.

Whatever you use, make sure it does not contain any petroleum product and it remains wet. You want something that will be dryafter it is applied and not become gummed up and trap dirt. Also, any long term exposure to a petroleum based product could deteriorate the felt tracks.
Try DuPont Teflon Non-Stick Dry-Film Lubricant or Elmer's Slide All. Both are dry film lubes with Teflon. They may be available at Ace hardware. Both are available on Amazon.com.

Try using a dry graphite. Liquid wrench makes a dry lubricant.
