Joe,

Replaced the tires on my '04 Inspire last year.

Toyo M154, 11R22.5, product code 548730, 16 ply.

$2,505 for six tires out the door (no tax in Delaware).

Liked my original Toyos, like these too. Can't beat the cost.

Joe, I'm in the process of replacing the tires on our new to us 2005 Inspire also. I haven't found prices as low as what George mentioned for 6 tires mounted and balanced, the cheapest quote I have is $3040 for Hankooks installed. Don't think I'm going that route though. Personally I'm debating between Michelin and Bridgestone but believe that brand is a personal decision, you can find fans and detractors of any name. I have done a lot of reading and have found out that there was a lot of finger pointing going on between Toyo and Country Coach about failures. Toyo basically removed their recommendation to mount Toyo tires on Country Coach vehicles.
I am thinking about upgrading the tires to 295/80R22.5 from the current 11R22.5. The 295s are slightly wider but essentially the same diameter as the 11R's. The factor that has me thinking about it is that the 295s are rated for more load carrying capacity. While we don't overload, according to the scales, it would make me more comfortable knowing the tires are not running at or near the rated capacity. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has done this on an Inspire? Any problems encountered? (Sorry for the minor thread hijack.)
I sure hate to replace the tires they look absolutely perfect on very close inspection, they coach only has 10K miles on it. But, for safety's sake I'm going ahead with the replacement once I make my mind up.

Dale,

Country Coach was using tire sizes that were too small (obviously to save money). When failures became excessive, a recall was instituted causing TOYO to lose some big bucks.
Therefore, TOYO will tell you they don't recommend their tires and they avoid any further legal issues.

You need to check the spacing between the rims on the duals. The tires will wear out prematurely if the side walls slap against each other while going down the road. Should also check and see if the rims are wide enough to handle a low profile tire. TWI 2004 intrigue 11731 w/12R

Short story: I had new Toyos on order, with plans to replace my original Toyos this month. They were just over seven years old, with spider cracks developing on the sidewalls. It was time.
Unfortunately, I suffered a blowout (left front) enroute. Minor damage, including two batteries murdered.
I ended up switching to Michelin XZA3's because the Toyos were at the other end of the state and I didn't want to drive that far.
With the FMCA/Michelin discount, I paid $3600 for six tires (tax included) and $270 for mount and balance.
I stayed with the original size - 11R22.5, load range H. That is plenty of tire for an Inspire.
I haven't driven the coach yet at highway speeds so I cannot give a comparison between Toyo and Michelin. I was happy with the Toyos. We will see.
For those of you who are still driving an '05 or older coach on original tires... it's time.

It was availability, pure and simple.
Not only could I not get the Toyos locally, there was a significant wait list.
Once I had one blowout, the coach was OOS until new tires were fitted - - close to home. I went so far as to drive the 100 mile round trip in the toad to pick up the tires from the Michelin National Dealer, and have them installed four miles from home.
(I must say I was pleased to buy new tires with a manufacture date three weeks prior!)

Dale,

I put new Michelin tires on my 05 Inspire last month. I have only driven about 100 miles since install. So far, I like them real well. The ride seems to be a little smoother. I live in the Dallas area, If you are within striking distance I can give you a good dealer recommendation.
I paid $3,681 out the door including all taxes, mounting, balance & new valve stems.
Good Luck,
RJ

Ron,

Just so happens that we live in the DFW area and would love to have your recommendation! Your price seems to be better than anything I've found in this area, so far.

Parkhouse Tires in Southern California is AWESOME. They were referred to me by California Coach Company and I got an unbeatable deal thanks to an arrangement Parkhouse has with Calif Coach for its customers ---- 6 top of the line Michelins, installed with tire sensor stems, balanced, everything, along with the best customer service I have ever experienced in dealing with my coach.

Dale,

I did exactly what you are proposing late 2010 with the Michlin 295s and I'm very pleased. Tires, mounting, new dually valves, spin balance and tax came to just over $3800. Increased load capacity was the primary consideration. Les Schawb in Junction City said they weren't allowed to put Toyo's on our coach. I think I might have gotten a better price somewhere else but I got excellent service.

Sorry but I still have a problem paying more than 50% more than I paid for my TOYOs.

I replaced my Toyo's after only 4 years because one of the front ones was developing a crack. I believe I averted a disaster by noticing the crack, that tire was getting ready to let go. I went with Michelin XZE2+, and I am happy as can be. The ride is smoother, they have no "wander" as did the Toyos. I would never have Toyo tires on my coach again.

Dale,

I got my tires from Graham Truck Center in Anna 972-924-2825, North on 75 past McKinney.
I got the Michelin XZA-3 11R22.5 16 ply. I dealt with Van. My out the door price was $3681.54. As I mentioned that included FET, state tax, mounting, balancing and new valve stems.
If you mention my name Ron Jacobs he will probably remember me. I bought my tires on 2/2/12.
If you end up getting tires from Graham and are passing through Plano let me know. I'd love to see your coach.

Good Luck,
RJ
