Carefree 110v patio awning

Hi folks...

So here we sit in Borrego Springs. For the first time in several days, I was able to run out the awning (high winds have been a fact of life until today).

Wanting to have the awning in before retiring, I tried to bring it in.
No response. Tried to reset breakers in coach. No response. Because it was night time, I have not (yet) tried to reset the pedestal breaker (even though my surge protector shows both lines as being live), nor have I tried yet to use the generator in place of the park pedestal.

Consulted the (generally useless) CC book AND the Carefree awning manual. Neither seems to be much help. There is a manual retraction procedure in the Carefree manual, but I am not certain that this manual is for the model I have. I will try that tomorrow, in daylight.
The manual suggests that there is a relay box, but gives no clue about its location. I can also find no information as to where a breaker might be found for the awning. I did, even in the face of darkness, try to check the panel on the right rear and on the left front (under the driver's seat), but could not find any breakers or fuses for the awning control. BTW, the step awning does work.
So, are there any suggestions out there for how I could get power to the awning, which would allow me not to have to try a manual retraction.

I assume you have tried both the manual switch and the remote control ...
My coach is the identical model as yours, and it is equipped with the Carefree Mirage. On mine the control box is mounted to the side wall behind and just forward of the inverter control panel. Perhaps you can go there and, if you can't find an obvious problem, at least jump 120V power directly to the awning motor.

We had a similar problem in 2010. The problem was a bad motor. In the daylight, you can check to see if you have power to the motor at the emergency retraction terminals. If you you have power then the motor is bad. If the motor is bad you have to remove the motor to retract the awning then you have to manually roll the awing in and zip tie it. Real pain.

Ken, the awning is 110VAC so there is no reason to check the 12VDC in the rear and front compartments. The first thing I would check is the second switch in the over windshield cabinet where the door and patio awnings are controlled. To the right of the awning control switch is an main awning on off switch which you may have inadvertently turned off.
Otherwise you need to follow 110VAC power from the source in the breaker box in the bedroom through the switch I mentioned and to the awning itself.
