sinks and countertops

Three months ago we bought a 1997 Montage Intrigue. The countertops and sinks in the kitchen are made of one continuous piece of material. I believe it may be Corian. My problem is that one of the sinks seeps water slowly thru the material. If we leave water sitting in the sink for just a few minutes, a few drops will show up on the bottom of the sink, apparently just seeping thru the material. The finish of the sinks and, to a lesser extent, the countertops is dull and rough. Am I correct that the material is probably Corian? Does anyone know of a simple solution, maybe applying a sealant? I want to make sure that anything I do will be safe for the material and more importantly for us as we will be preparing food on the material.

Thanks for your help.

It is more likely that the seal around the drain is leaking. Remove it apply fresh plumbers putty. Reassemble everything. No more leak.

Jerry, the material is a composit, not corian. We have a '96 Montage and have had some cracking of material but not of the sink. Do not know of any sealer. Jim Veen, 10299 '96 Intrigue - still love the coach with 140,000 miles.
