I am in my 78th year and have a 10 minute rule------ anything that happened 10 minutes can get a little fuzzy in the old memory bank. So here goes, when you lift the door, look at the top and there should be 2 green rub blocks with 2 screws per block. With the lift piston off, and the 2 rub blocks out, you should be able to lift the door door more and work it off. Can not remember exactly the point of detachment. My old Allure now has 170,000+ miles.
