Dinette removal

Our plans are to buy a Magna or Intrique, seems like a lot of the ones we have seen have the built in bench dinette and couch setup. How difficult are these to remove, are they bolted into the wall, floor or both. When you remove them, do you need to patch the wall or floor where they were? 2nd question, I've seen some of the pictures where people have removed the carpet and replaced with tile, or wood flooring. Is there a specific way of handling where the edge of the slide meets the main coach floor? I have had a couple of salesman tell me that you have to leave the carpeting in the slide in order to hide the edge? True or false. I'm not looking for actual specifics at this time, just the difficulty level.
Thanks for any help

John

John, We do have a Magna or Intrique but our original coach came with chairs and a credenza.
Since we purchased it used, this set up was removed and a dinette was installed. The dinette booth were just bolted to the floor. We removed the dinette and replaced it was a table that bolted to the wall and chairs. We have so much more room now for guests. Dave

My 98 Allure and 2004 Intrigue used the same dinette. I had the seat seat platforms hinged to allow

access behind the pull out drawers. That's where I store my 4 cases of wine when I visit California

wineries. Less floor to clean and lots of storage. We had Shawn Davis at Davis cabinets make a 20 inch

leaf to extend the table they modified to allow 7 to sit around the table comfortably. To answer the

Dinette is screwed to the floor and wall with Square-drive wood or plank screws. The would panel

attached to the end of the slide that supports the verticle cushion seems to be glued in place when I

looked before writing this letter. My Intrigue has an AC outlet mounted on the face of one of the seat

cushions bases, that will need to be dealt with it as the wire is exposed and looks similar to Romex

used in home construction. The Allure did not. The carpet will hide the floor screw holes, but the few

interior slide wall penetrations will have to be filled. The indentations in the carpet will be an issue.
