Rear slide out not moving?

Hey gang -- i have a 2000 42 Affinity -- got home from the black hills a few days ago -- put the coach in the shed and went to extend the slides and the rear one extended out about 1/2 way and stopped. It wouldn't move out or in. So i left it -- Cleaned things up and called it a day. Went down today -- and still no movement. In fact when i tried to - by moving the switch either to the extend or retract position the "lady" says "please fasten your seat belts" == strange. Any ideas Dave

The lady thinks the parking brake is released. There is a switch that is usually on the bottom of the park brake switch that can fail or have a loose wire. Check that first.

also on ours the slide switch itself was bad. Unplugged it, cleaned it and plugged it back in. Now works fine. Also could be a fuse.
Once we got the front slide going, today the back slide wouldn't go out. We turned off the ignition key, waited about 5 minutes, turned the ignition key back on and voila! worked fine. Spooky!!

I had a problem in that my slide would not extend. I called HWH and the tech. came to the conclusion that the system had lost its ground. He instructed how to provide a ground by jumping two terminals on the control board ( compartment in front of the passenger seat). This alowed the slide to operate. I lator replaced the parking brake switch located in the left front bay under the driver. This is an air pressure operated switch that provides a ground in order for the HWH systems to operate when the parking brake ( the switch on the driver left consol) is on.
