Service in Las Vegas - Cummins

Yahoo Message Number: 81982
Will be spending a few days in Las Vegas and would like to have some general engine maintenance done. Other than the Cummins dealer, has anyone used a shop there and had good experiences? Thanks in advance, Roger Harper

We have lived here since 2004 and finding some one outstanding is tough.
We have had our coach into the local Cummins shop at least 6 times. Four, I repeat Four, recalls on our ISL. The other 2 times was for oil change etc. The last time I checked their shop rate was $135.00 per hour.
For regular service etc., we now use American Mobile Lube. They come to you and they can handle all the service you need including oil change on the generator. I have this done through our company so don't know their exact prices. We have two vehicles at work and they keep them maintained.
The Freight Liner shop is also good. I've had them do some miscellaneous stuff and it was done OK.

I hope this is of some help.

Speedco is just down the street from Cummins. They do lube oil and tires. They are quick reasonably priced and require you to inspect and approve their work.

I would certainly endorse the recommendation for Speedco near the Cummins dealer, for oil, lube, generator and tire services. Excellent crew and supervisors/managers always going beyond expectations. For engine work, let me also recommend contacting the crew @ RV Doctors in the I-15 at Blue Diamond corridor, easy to find location, but call and talk w/them first ~ (702) 473-5384 and actual address is 7770 Dean Martin Drive. Several were from Monaco's factory in Oregon if I recall correctly; the four times I've been there for repairs were most satisfactoy, it appeared engine work was in progress on other coaches.

Used WW Williams in Vegas a number of years ago. Have used WW Williams in Tucson several times and was pleased. Just got a LOF at Cummins/Houston, paid about $200 more than I would have paid in Tucson at WW. I've had LOF, rear oil, and transend at WW in Tucson. They've also looked at a problem in the trans, would prob go to them over Cummins due to cost and their service is about the same.
