Shattered Shower Door

We have the curved shower in an 2003 Magna.....but it was used in many models. This afternoon the door exploded into thousands of pieces and fell into the shower. We are in the mountains so weather is cool.....have been parked for two months. Just wondering if any one has experienced this....hope not....and what could cause it. Wife has already tracked down distributor and of course it is out of production. But They can supply new enclousure, three glass panels, for $8K. We will find another solution....just curious if this has happened to anyone else? Joe Cronin. Magna 6223

Yes when we were sleeping one night the door fell off the track for some unexplained reason, and had a shower full of small glass pieces. What a mess!

The distributor in Connecticut sold its inventory to some one, so the doors may be available. I once say a posting o the groups site, so search around. In the meantime, an old fashioned shower curating works well.

You could check with Coastal Industries, Inc 800-874-8601 They are company that took over for and has the rights for the one that made the shower in my 2000.
