Water leaking from small bin where water tank cover is located

Yahoo Message Number: 83616
I filled the water tank on 1997 Intrigue, I thought I would have an over flow value that would leak water when the tank was full. No water water leak while I was filling the tank. Now water is leaking from a bin that has the cover to which looks like the water tank. It has roundish fiber glass cover over it. I have removed the screws but unable to get the cover off. Looking for suggestions. I am hoping that I have not caused any major damage. Water is still working inside. Suggestions and information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Don't u have a clean water dump button or valve. dump some water until u can find the leak, or use the water to drain down the tank until the leak stops. Barrie Boas 94 Concept 5111--- On Fri, 11/2/12, thedogsplace don.st.croix@...> wrote:

Hi Don, We have had a similar occurrence when we fill or over fill our fresh water, sometimes! Never consistent! Occurs more when I use the hose connection than the gravity fill. Stops soon and never interferes with pumps, tanks, or system operation.
Have assumed the overflow in the center of the coach in front of the differential has developed a leak near the connection on top of the tank. If I don't overflow I don't notice it so much, but being a full timer and a boondocker we always try to pack in as much fresh as possible. One time it was one or two drops a minute for 2 days. I searched everything including the water filter in the wall in front of the plumbing bay and found nothing. Was dry all this summer! Comes and goes. Skip...2002 Intrigue #11329

My leak seems to be coming from one of the outside bins about where the toilet is located. I open up the bin and it is very small and has what appears to be a fiberglass cover over it. I have tried to remove the fiber cover without success? Any suggestion on how to remove it?

Regarding filling the water tank: When water is added from a hose source with pressure above 25lbs the overflows cannot discharge water fast enough to keep the tank from overfilling resulting in leaking from the top of the tank Bob 06 intrigue 12047

When you say leaking from the top of the tank, do you mean a crack opens in the plastic or a fitting leaks, or??? I have this problem on my SOB. I have dropped the tank and replaced the gravity fill hose, and still can not find the source of the leak.

Is yours still leaking? I noticed the same exact issue with ours, which is also a 97 Intrigue. We just acquired our couch about 4 months ago, and when I de-winterized and put water in her this spring, I noticed she started leaking from behind that same fiberglass sheet. I removed all the screws and like you, could not get the fiberglass sheet removed. The leaking continued for about 2 days and stopped, and I have since then filled her up multiple times with less pressure and have yet to see it occur again.
