alignment recommendations

Yahoo Message Number: 84109
I am north of Jacksonville and making my way down to Lake Okeechobee for the winter. I just noticed that my front tires are cupping, one on the inside and one on the outside. I had it aligned when I purchased the tires about 2 years ago (these new ones have 18,000 miles on them). Does anyone have a recommendation for alignment in this area? I would like to have the rears checked also (just replaced them in July).

Thanks,

Dennis,

Josam in Orlando is suppose to be the "go to" place in Florida. 407-438-7020

If the tires are GoodYear , they are noted for a cupping problem. On my previous coach , I changed to Michelins-- did not align, as the alignment was not out-- and never had a further problem. The Michelins , road smoother, were quieter, and did not cup.

Dennis,

I second Fred's recommendation. I had Josam replace my tie rod ends and drag links. They adjusted ride height and aligned afterwards. Lots of recommendation on other forums for these guys too.

I recently purchased Magna #5894 and while checking the front end I noticed my tie rod ends also need replacing. What am I looking at as far cost to replace both?

Josam only place. Do not use Snider in SC, have no clue on a coach.

Elton,

Total cost was about $2200. That includes labor, alignment, tie rod ends and drag link.

I had the same problem with Goodyears and went to Kaiser Alignment for front end work. They said change out the front tires and you will be good to go.
They were correct. Put Michelins on the front with no other work and two years later no further issues.
